As we don’t drink ‘Grown Up’ drinks (i.e. tea and coffee) the hubby and I do drink a fair bit of Coca Cola so were excited when were were chosen to ‘Share Coca Cola’ as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®. Nothing is better for us than an excuse to spend some quality time together!
The first part of our challenge was to visit our local supermarket and shop for supplies – the ESSENTIAL Coca Cola plus any other snacks for our Family fun!
We chose to visit our local Sainsbury’s store to do our shopping – mainly because it is only 5 minutes away from home and, though not the biggest store around, it provides enough of a choice for everyday shopping!
We visited at around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon and, as you can see in our Coca Cola Google+ Photo Album, the shelves were not all that well stocked! There were some great offers to be had in store, particularly on the Coca Cola itself… but there were some gaps in the stock and the shelves were unusually bare!
We decided to plump for some multi-packs of cans which were ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free’, opting for the Coke Zero and Coca Cola Citrus Twist varieties. I think cans are great for sharing as they are easy to chill, easy to stack, and quick to serve – so perfect for quick refreshment on a hot afternoon!
We also decided to buy some Pringles – also on a ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free’ offer – choosing Original and Sour Cream and Onion. We had to get Original flavour as the youngest only likes ‘plain’ crisps!
And just as we were about to settle into the garden and enjoy some quality family time together in the sunshine, there was a knock at the door…
and Nana and Grandad (AKA my Mum and Dad!) turned up! They had been out for the day enjoying an open day at a local college… and it turned out that they were ‘parched’ – so it wasn’t long before they pinched a can or 2 for quick refreshment! This is unusual for my Mum and Dad as they don’t often drink Coca Cola – but the temptation of ice-cold cans ready to go was too much!
We didn’t mind them coming too much though – there is nothing better than sharing some family time in the garden… and they did bring scones!
We ended up having a LOVELY catch up in the garden – and everyone seemed more than refreshed! For me this was the PERFECT opportunity to share a Coca Cola with family x
I love the named bottles too… but wonder – what are the chances of finding your name? If you have managed, do leave a comment and let me know! I am still hunting… so for me, these bottles say it best!
