Recently, through the post box, we received a copy of Chuggington’s Chugger of the Year DVD to review. Though the boys are now a little older, they were still keen to take a look…especially as they have a new cousin who they thought they could vet the DVD for ready for him when he is just a little older!
Containing a whole 7 episodes (Hoot vs Toot, Stop the Press Emery, Babysitter Brewster, Chugger of the Year, Chug of War, Gold Wheels and Chug o Flage) and running for approx 70 minutes the DVD promises to be full of ‘traintastic’ adventures! There is also an extra feature where you can meet the Chuggers Speedy, Hoot and Toot!
As with all the Chugginton episodes, each is a fun-filled adventure with the Chuggers learning some valuable lessons and new skills along the way, empowering them to become the best trainees they can be!
The great thing about this DVD is the fact that little Chuggers don’t need to sit for a full 70 minutes to watch the whole thing – they can watch an episode at a time, and with each lasting around 10 minutes, that is more than enough time to keep a little trainee’s focus!
What did my boys think? Well, I actually think they are a little old for this DVD though a few years ago I think it would have been a great hit! They did like the fact that it came with the die cast Speedy – and this would be great for any little Chuggington fan, especially to add to an existing collection!
And what did Mummy think? I think this DVD is a lovely gift for a little train fan, and it has certainly been popular at wet play at school, where a 10 minute episode is perfect to while away a rainy play time! I know my new nephew is going to LOVE it in a few years time! Priced at around £6 and available from BBC online, Amazon, Sainsbury’s, Asda and HMV it is most certainly great value for money considering you get the DVD and the die cast train!
With Christmas looming, this Chuggington Chugger of the Year DVD would be the perfect stocking filler!
